Has NoDo Been Delayed Until the Second Half of March? (Update)

Ruh-roh!

After expecting NoDo to become available earlier this week only to be disappointed again, Microsoft may have now officially delayed it. Note the emphasis on may because right now the only official word we have on the matter is Microsoft’s official Windows Phone blog of France. No other official Microsoft source has talked specifics nor announced any changes to the scheduled launch timeframe of “Early March” since MWC. Here’s a translated quote from the alleged announcement:
We are delighted to share with you that this update will be available for the second half of Mars through your Zune software. A notification will be pushed on all the Windows 7 Phone, allowing you to perform the update in the best conditions.
That being said, the blog is an official one and so far the updates have had a (more or less) simultaneous rollout so there is a very real possibility that the update may be coming later than we thought.

Microsoft is really struggling to get these updates out to the consumers and many still have yet to receive the first ‘pre-NoDo’ update. Considering that Samsung was the one to blame for that update’s failure to launch, are they still having issues updating the Omnia and Focus safely? Are the carriers slowing down the process? Or is Microsoft having some troubles of its own on the software side?

Those questions may be answered soon. We’ll see if there is an official announcement via other Microsoft sources later today.

Update: Microsoft insider Mary Jo Foley over at ZDNet has used some of her social skills to get a ball park timeframe of when NoDo is coming:
I heard from one of my WP7 contacts today that Microsoft’s new target date for the NoDo rollout is the week of March 21.
Well it looks like the delay could be official if Foley is already getting tips from her sources about a new date. It's only two weeks away, so hopefully Microsoft can finally get things going again!
