Fanmade Ad Takes a Page from Google, Puts Microsoft to Shame

I guess the Windows Phone faithful are pretty fed up with Microsoft's marketing team because they have taken matters into their own hands quite a few times now.

But while most fanmade ads have focused on making WP7 look cool and lustworthy (and there's certainly nothing wrong with that!) this video by Mark Nadolski of VES Creative Services takes a decidedly different approach. Similar in nature to those great Google Search ads like the popular 'Parisian Love', "Connect With Your World" shows nothing more than a person using a Windows Phone but manages to create an entire storyline within just a few moments. The result is truly heartwarming and really shows off a lot of the data-based features of WP7 like Bing, Email, People Hub, Direct Photo Uploads to Facebook, and more.

While Microsoft is trying hard to make their phones and OS look slick with their own ads, maybe they should be taking Nadolski's approach instead--mass appeal with storylines that anyone can sympathize with.
