We were planning to tell you guys this yesterday, but thanks to the Blogger outage, we didn't get the chance until now: the Verizon Trophy didn't launch yesterday on May 12th. Zero, zlich, nada -- no shiny new toy for the extremely patient Verizon customers to take home yet. Now Windows Phone Metro is reporting that the Trophy could still be on its way to your eager hands relatively soon. Like, May 19th soon (aka next Thursday) thanks to a helpful Best Buy representative saying the date is registered in their inventory. WPCentral has heard a similar claim from one of its readers learning of the date from a Verizon rep. Their rumor adds a little icing on the cake, saying that Verizon will launch the Trophy with, "a voucher for a free Xbox game that can be played on Xbox and phone." So hopefully Verizon will finally end this cruel, sadistic game of cat-and-mouse they've been playing with our hearts...since last December.
