MIX '11: Mango Will Feature Parental Controls for Apps & Games

WMPoweruser is also live at MIX '11 right now in Las Vegas, and they've brought word of a new feature in Mango that might ease recent controversies over adult content in the Marketplace. Namely, that Mango will bring along with it a new content rating system from Microsoft and parental controls through which to enforce those ratings:
One of the new features in Mango will be parental controls, with developers being able to mark their app as M-rated, and this restriction being enforced by the phone. Joe Belfiore notes this should allow the selection of games to expand, which should be great news for developers like those of Twin Blades, who had their game pulled due to the Blood and Gore involved.
This is certainly a step in the right direction for Microsoft and a definite improvement over other app stores' draconian policies on adult content.
