For one reason or another, Joe Belfiore decided to announce at MIX '11 that the highly-anticipated Windows Phone 7 port of Angry Birds now has an official release date: May 25th.
If you remember from before, Microsoft already announced Angry Birds as part of its 'Must Have Games' for Spring 2011. The Xbox Live program was supposed to start on April 6th but was quietly delayed for reasons unknown. Angry Birds is the first game of the program to receive a launch date but the others (Sonic the Hedgehog 4, Plants vs. Zombies, Doodle Jump, and more) still haven't. Either way, we can't wait to see those pissed off feather-balls launch themselves at the Windows Phone Marketplace come next month...but they already have some stiff competition.
