Rumor: Mango phones to be released by September?

Winners of Microsoft's Imagine Cup 2011 contest are lucky...very lucky. Apparently the finalists are all going to be awarded with Mango-powered production phones from Microsoft for their talent. That's a pretty sweet deal for them and we're insanely jealous, Microsoft may have let some crucial release info slip by making this announcement. According to a tweet from the official Twitter account for Imagine Cup:

#ImagineCup finalists ALL receive Windows Phone 7.5 Mango release! Each student will get the phone by September!

Hmm...September, eh? Sounds reasonable to us. That would be the perfect time for Microsoft to unleash the second generation of Windows Phones--but they could be going head-to-head with the rumored iPhone 5. Oh and if you're skeptical and think we're reading too much into this, try reading the tweet for yourself here.

...yes, it's been deleted and yes we forgive you in advance for questioning our wisdom. We know, those previewed Windows Phones are too good to be true but it looks like they are and they're likely heading you're way by September.
