Microsoft releases 'Dotastic!', a socially-aware to-do application

Tell us if this sounds familiar: you're amped up and in a productive mood, so you create a precise list of all of the things you need to do. Then you wake up the next day, glance at that list and think to yourself, "I honestly have no idea why I thought I could do all of that stuff on my own". Yeah, it's hit all of us and we call it "the Sundays". But if you're sick and tired of not committing to your list and you think a little bit of support from your friends might change that, Microsoft FUSE Lab's new app Dotastic could be your solution.

Dotastic is a fun way to challenge your friends and help each other get things done. Earn points for completing tasks and compete with your friends to be at the top of the leaderboard. Incentives and social pressure helps you stay motivated as you complete your tasks and share your achievements with everyone.

While this sounds phenomenal on paper, in reality we're not having much luck with the app so far. Just like the folks at Windows Phone Metro, we've also run into a 'server error' which suggests that maybe Dotastic isn't ready for primetime quite yet. Still this isn't an app problem, this is a server-side issue so the problem could be fixed at any moment. So keep an eye on this one or stash it on your device before you forget by clicking on the tile below:
