Multitask7: The Homebrew Scene Takes Multitasking Into Their Own Hands

Desperate to have multitasking on your Windows Phone before Mango? There's a hack for that!

Windows Phone Hacker's prized developer Jaxbot has announced his homebrew app called Multitask7. Pressing the camera shutter button halfway down (but not far enough to start the camera app) triggers the fast app switcher, you can potentially multitask from anywhere within WP7. The apps you can switch between have to be already open (i.e. first open an app from the Start page) to be used with Multitask7 but once they are you're free to switch between apps as much as you like.

For now this is just a tease as the homebrew app is still being perfected, but Jaxbot promises to reveal more details in the future. Considering how limited the API set that developers and hackers have access to is, the work Jaxbot is showing here is pretty insane and could potentially beat Microsoft's multitasking solution to the punch. Keep your eyes and ears open for more news about this incredible development.
